Prayer Requests 10/30/06

Feature: Sharnus-Monkeyball-Lee, thug life . . .

Holla!!!
I've been missing you guys a lot recently... I miss just going to ramshaw/roland and just vegging. Being at home has been real rough, besides trying to find a job, I'm under the constant scrutiny of my parents. I consistently feel defeated.
BUT, REVIVAL WAS AWESOME!!! GEORGE VERWER IS THE MAN!!! hahahaha. For me, the most resounding thing he said was "action." No matter what I'm thinking, no matter what the intent, that it doesn't matter without any actions. Please pray that I'm full of ACTIONS!!! Instead of wanting to do things ( i.e. QTs) to just do it. Please also pray for strength, that I may continue to fight. THANX BROS!!!

Prayer Requests 10/23/06

Flava of the week . . . pun intended
hello peoples,
first off, miss you all.
second, my requests for prayer:
DEPENDENCE is the key word of the semester. all God wants from me is to keep coming back to him, even though i really have nothing to show for myself. it's actually a lot more painful to keep coming back to God when you know you have nothing to offer. and yet God just wants me to keep coming back and just being honest with where i'm at and being honest at the fact that i am in complete need of Him. that i can't do anything without him. and yet he still gives grace, which is completely ridiculous. please pray that i learn this lesson a little more deeply this millionth time around.
please pray for my college kids. even though they may show up an hour late, be glazed over, pick up their cell phones during bible study, knock out, and remain mute during the entire bible study--please pray that i would trust that God is doing his thing. please pray for supernatural power in those cramped dorm rooms, that God would somehow spark desire in these guys. and that i would love them no matter what.
thanks people : )

Prayer Requests 10/17/06

Feature: I looked far and wide for a normal pic of this guy . . . the rest are for men only=)

Work is tough. Hard project that just seems to get harder. Please pray that God will continue to give me the strength to work hard, and know that there's more to life than just this job.

Nothing really new going on with life...just work, hangin out with the boys, young hee, etc. Still have not really settled down at a home church...which needs to get figured out soon. On a brighter note...young hee and I will officially have been dating for 2 years come next month..which is kinda exciting. Finished one phase of a major project at work...so come Jan. 2007, pick up a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese...cuz I would have helped develop a new formula for that. Now Even Cheesier! :)

Prayer Requests 10/9/06

This week's feature prayer: Mr. October, AG!! Dang he looks good!

Hey everyone,

I'm thankful for all you guys. With that being said my prayer request is a simple one. To build deeper relationships with all of you, as well as my coworkers. It took me a while but God helped me realize that I can't live this life being a loner with just me and Jesus, that's a little selfish on my part. I need to be a better friend to others, get involved with peoples lives and stop being so dang comfortable and lazy. God has done a lot of work in this area, and he has so much more to do! I take joy in that, knowing that I still have a long way to go, cause if my current state is God's finished product, oh man we are all screwed! All kidding aside, that's the one thing that's been on my heart the most. To build deeper relationships with people and to be Jesus to others. Likewise I look forward to seeing Jesus in you guys and seeing a different view on God that I would never get on my own.

Prayer request #2 is a follow up to PR#1. I don't want to talk/pray great things and do nothing about it. May James 2:14 be on my heart and mind. I just want to do with the mindset of glorifying God, and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest.

Prayer Requests 10/2/06

This weeks feature is our other nurse . . . no not me, Treece!

HI guys,

Honestly...if you asked me how my first month in NY has been last week
I would have (and may I remind you, if I was really honest) responded.
It sucks! Day one I've been bogged down with TONS of reading, I
seriously have momentary anxiety attacks that I dont have what it
takes to make it through the program, I dont really have friends or
family here and it's been a lonely first month. but something in last
weeks prayer requests challenged me to examine my attitude. I have
been doing A LOT of complaining in my heart on why things have to be
so hard, but NEVER ONCE asked God for help. But this weekend I got so
desperate that I actually did a QT. Ive been having a hard time
praying for my meals...so 1 QT is a big deal for me guys! Suddenly God
reminded me of times when I felt alone and overwhelmed and how He was
always faithful in the past and will be in the future. He also showed
me things about my relationship or lack of relationship with Him. My
Christian life has always been dictated by my friends/family or
church. I know that makes sense in a way, but mine is in a very
unhealthy way. I always hid behind the faith of the ppl around me.
Being very vague about how im doing and never allowing anyone to
challenge me. It got to the point where I couldnt pray or read the
bible, but still seemed like I was doing ok. Ive coasted this far and
grown really unhappy b/c its like a torn in my side. You cant run from
it. So of course when Im down...God has to kick it in so hard that I
gotta deal with it. While I have no friends, Jesus wants to be my best
friend. Im ok with the idea now...Im actually pumped. But I know my
fickle heart...next week Ill be totally hating on God. So my prayer
request is that I will daily fight. I need to pray daily even if its 5
mins. I need to learn to talk to God, to let him in and learn His
heart. To do my QT at least twice a week. Being realistic and working
up. And I need to find a home church. I realize I keep on saying I
want good fellowship...blah blah blah. I just need 1-2 girls I can
openly share with, who will challenge me and who will walk and fight
together.

Oh and that I dont fail out of my program. :)

Yep..thats it. sorry its so long. I tried to keep it short and
positive, but for those of you who know me...know that sometimes its
not possible. But thanks for loving me as I am and your prayers! miss
you all!
