Prayer Requests 3/26/07

PROTW: Yes, it is flushing. Yes, it is straddling the hole. Yes, this came out of a man. Hey I have to draw people back to this page somehow. . .

Hey friends and those I have yet to meet,
Most of you haven't been able to meet me in person, but the few that have were very fortunate. I weigh in at ~7 pounds and go by the name of Fried Fish, given to me by the wonderful janitor that was trying to dispose of me, because Dan was unable to with his multiple attempts. The photo doesn't do me justice, thats on top of the 5 -10 pounds that the camera is supposed to add, what a bunch of crap. Enough about me, time to talk about Dan whom I have had the pleasure to be apart of. Recently his father has been getting more involved with the local synagogue, where he spends a lot of his time helping out, and when he isn't there he is usually browsing Jewish websites, or working on his synagogues site. He grew up as a Jew and had a Bar Mitzvah and everything, so thats where this comes from. Dan's mom is still involved with Buddhism and meets pretty often with people from her temple. Dan on the other hand has been stagnant in his walk with Christ. Please pray for his father that as he continues to dig deeper into Judaism, it will point him to Christ the only Messiah. Pray that his mom and her sister in Malaysia will somehow be led to Christ, because where one goes the other will most likely follow. Pray that Dan will be revived from his funk, we all know he has a lot of gas I mean look at me, he just needs a little spark to set the furnace ablaze. I would like to thank you all for reading what I have to say, but before I leave I have to say that Dan is the first parent of the group, and people say I have the looks of Mikelob with the size of Mr. Phil, thats one good combination that any kid will have a hard time competing with.

Prayer Requests 3/20/07

Sorry, I didn't get a feature this week and since this is way late I thought I'd just post something about Japan. Please pray for the Japanese people!

JAPAN

Population: 127,463,611; 99% Japanese, 1% other (mostly Korean)
Religion: Shinto - 85.5%
Buddhist: 75.3%
New Religions: 23.43%
Non-religious/other: 4.27%
Christian: 1.56%
It's higher than 100% because many Japanese follow multiple religions. Generally Japanese only attend Buddhist temples for funerals, Shinto Shrines for baby and children's blessings and weddings. Otherwise, religion has little or nothing to do with their day-to-day activities. Despite its economic success and openness to Westernization, Japan remains one of the largest unreached nations in the world. Its success in economics is partially responsible for its closure to accepting the Gospel. Many hard-working Japanese simply do not have the time to care enough to hear the gospel and work/success is a huge idol in the lives of the Japanese. Often housewives have the time to attend classes like English tutoring or cooking at local churches and can be reached, but many barriers exist for them as well. Christians are such a small minority in Japan and few families come to faith. Individuals who accept Christ feel exposed and alone.
Pray that God will open hearts in this lost country and work his power in the believers there now!

Prayer Requests 3/5/07

PROTW: Old school Sitha, back when it was about the THUG life.

i love you guys. =)
i started a system not too long ago to help me commit to specifically praying for people.
mondays - r&r boys (sometimes i forget phil)
tuesdays - r&r girls
wednesdays - youth group boys
thursdays - youth group girls
fridays - church ministry and leaders
saturdays - PR blog from r&r
sundays - my non-christian mother and sister
sometimes its hard for me to pray when im feeling lazy (and that's like ALL the time)... but thats also when God's hand of grace reminds me of my lack of love for people. its painful, but im thankful. it makes me want to love more!!! please pray that i can love like He does! i want love like God loves! i need to see EVERYONE through His eyes, so that i too can love like He does!
i love you guys....
and its so easy for me to say and feel.... but do i really mean it?? i thought about this and concluded that its conditioned to whether or not i pray for you.
so thank you for always praying for me. and now its my turn to join in.
